Manchester United have started their season with a victory over Leeds United with Jadon Sancho coming on as a second half substitute.

The England international have a glimpse of why Manchester United paid Borussia Dortmund a huge sum of money for his services.

However, fans might be having the opportunity of seeing their new signing on the first team list in Sunday’s Premier League clash with Southampton at St Mary’s.

According to Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst, Sancho is likely to make his first start for the club against Southampton.

Luckhurst, in response to a question from a supporter, said that Sancho could replace Daniel James in the starting XI, with the remainder of the side potentially being unchanged.

If this were to be true, former Real Madrid star Raphael Varane, who was presented as a Man United player ahead of the Leeds clash, will have to accept a spot on the bench like Sancho.

Sancho was impressive during his short spell at Borussia Dortmund, the England internationalscored 50 goals and registered 64 assists in 137 appearances for the Bundesliga team.
