Rangnick turns down offer to replace former Chelsea boss at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have received another rejection in their bid to sign a new manager ahead of next season.

This comes as a report revealed former Man Utd manager Ralf Rangnick declined the chance to replace current boss Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich.

It is no longer news that Tuchel, a former Chelsea manager will leave the German club at end of the season.

Tuchel had announced the decision to leave in February and since then Bayern have been in the race for a worthy replacement but they have faced rejections so far.

Bayern Munich were reported to be considering Xabi Alonso as their top choice but faced disappointment when he opted to extend his stay with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Former manager Julian Nagelsmann also turned down their offer as he committed to the German national team instead.

There German were focused on employing Rangnick, only for him to also reject the offer, as he chose to continue his role with Austria beyond the Euros.

Despite the challenges and difficulties in securing a new manager, Tuchel in a reaction downplayed their impact on the club’s appeal, stressed that Bayern’s enduring prestige.

Bayern will now have to focus on another manager they can convince to take charge next season.
