PSV confirm agreement with Chelsea

PSV Eindhoven in a recent statement have confirmed reaching an agreement with Chelsea for Noni Madueke.

This comes after the Blues were reported to have submitted a £29m bid to sign the midfielder on Thursday night.

Recall that back in 2018, Madueke, born in London, turned down offers to join Manchester United as he decided to join PSV instead.

The 20-year-old England U21 international, came through the Crystal Palace youth team, before he went on to impress in the Netherlands.

PSV boss, Van Nistelrooy confirmed that the deal has been done and the offer accepted.

‘We are losing a good player because of his departure. There was no turning back and there was a solid financial compensation.

“I can empathize with the importance of the club.

“Given the circumstances, with the financial compensation, we have decided to sell.”

Madueke will join the list of new signing who join Chelsea this January as they work towards rebuilding their squad.
