Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is apparently near agreeing a two-year deal with Barcelona.

The Argentinian is running down the clock on the last couple of months of his Etihad contract, and there is a developing inclination that the 2020-21 season could be his last with the four-time Premier League champions.

The 31-year-old rushed to make light of hypothesis connecting him with a move to Barcelona during a new Twitch livestream, and a return of childhood club Independiente del Valle has also been mooted.

In any case, new Barcelona president Joan Laporta is finalizing in on a negotiation to bring him to Camp Nou on a two-year contract when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

Accordingly, Sergio Aguero would arrive simultaneously as City teammate Eric Garcia, whom Pep Guardiola has affirmed will join the Blaugrana for the 2021-22 season.

Sergio Aguero got his first Premier League goal of the season in Saturday’s 3-0 win at Fulham, and he has scored 257 times in all competitions for Man City since his 2011 arrival.
