Barcelona are reportedly prepared to part ways with Ferran Torres this summer, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur both monitoring the Spain international’s situation closely.

The 26-year-old forward has emerged as an attractive option after reports suggested Barcelona could be willing to accept a fee of around €35 million (£29 million). While Torres has just one year remaining on his current contract, fresh reports indicate there are additional factors influencing the Catalan club’s willingness to sanction his departure.

Torres has developed into a versatile attacking option during his career, capable of playing through the middle or on either wing. Since making his senior debut, the former Manchester City forward has scored 91 goals and provided 44 assists in 359 club appearances, while also becoming an established member of Spain’s national team.

His performances on the international stage have further enhanced his reputation, with Torres expected to play a key role for Spain as they continue their World Cup campaign.

Arsenal are searching for greater depth across the forward line as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his title-winning squad. The Gunners have been linked with several attacking targets this summer, and Torres’ versatility could make him an appealing option capable of covering multiple positions.

Tottenham are also believed to be keeping a close eye on developments as they consider reinforcements for their own attack ahead of the new season.

With Barcelona seemingly open to negotiations and Torres available for a relatively modest fee compared to today’s transfer market, the race for the Spain international could gather pace in the coming weeks as Premier League interest intensifies.
