Premier League: Chelsea boss hoping to break record against West Ham
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will expect to break a club record when his side travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United in Saturday’s Premier League clash.
Tuchel has steered the Premier League giants to a FA Cup final and Champions League semi-final during his brief timeframe in charge, and his side are strongly in the mix for a top four finish with six games remaining.
Chelsea endured an embarrassing 5-2 loss at home to West Bromwich Albion recently, but Tuchel is yet to lose away since assuming office in the capital – winning seven and drawing two of his nine away matches up until this point.
Should Chelsea manage to avoid defeat against top-four opponents West Ham on Saturday, Tuchel would become the first Chelsea boss to win his initial 10 away games without defeat.
Nonetheless, Chelsea’s rivals West Ham boast the second-best home record in the Premier League this term – just behind Manchester City – with David Moyes’ side amassing 31 points from 16 home games up until now.
Chelsea remain above West Ham in fourth place on goal difference, but they could wind up in fifth before the kick off should Liverpool beat Newcastle United at noon.
