Chelsea manager Graham Potter will hope to bounce back with his squad when they face Arsenal in the EPL this weekend.

The Blues head to the match after their defeat to Brighton last weekend as Potter acknowledged that his team did not match Brighton’s intensity in their last EPL encounter.

Potter is hoping the same would repeat itself when they take on the league leaders, Arsenal on Sunday.

‘If you don’t do that in any game, it’s a challenge for us,’ he pointed out.

‘It was a unique situation at the weekend and now we have to learn from that and be ready for a London derby. It’s a special game. It’s an exciting game. We have to be ready to play the football that can get us a result.’

In terms of energy levels on Sunday, Chelsea have an upper hand as they had an extra day of recovery from their Champions League match, while Arsenal were in action in Europa League on Thursday night.

‘The fact that we’ve all been playing so much, it’s almost like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic to a certain extent, it’s just not that big a deal,’ said the Potter on the difference in the schedule.

‘But it’s helpful in a way the extra 24 hours, we take what we can at this at this point of the season. We’re all used to the quick turnaround, we’re used to short space in between games, but any time you have you have to use it well.’
