Chelsea could have defeated Arsenal: Why the Blues failed to

Chelsea’s game against Arsenal in the English Premier League has continued to gain attention days after the game was play at Stamford Bridge
Former Blues star, John Mikel Obi, in a recent statement opined that the Blues failed to defeat Arsenal on Sunday, because of an early red card to Moises Caicedo.
Recall that the two London rivals went bead-to-head in a game ended in a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Caicedo was sent off in the 38th minute after a VAR check.
Despite playing with a 10-man squad, Chelsea took the lead after the break, thanks to Trevor Chalobah’s header.
But the Gunners were able to secure an equaliser through Mikel Merino.
So far this season, the Blues have been handed seven red cards in 20 matches across all competitions this season.
“That’s four red cards this season; it’s not good enough. I’ve spoken about it; the manager needs to talk with the players, because it’s costing us games as well,” Mikel Obi said on his podcast.
He added that if the Blues haf finished the game with eleven men, he believe they could have won.
“Maybe not easily, but comfortably, we could’ve secured a win,” Mikel added.
