Potter speaks about Aubameyang ahead of Arsenal clash
Chelsea will this weekend host Arsenal in the EPL at Stamford Bridge and one player many would be looking out for is the Blues striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
This comes Aubameyang will face his former club Arsenal, which he left in January for Spanish club Barcelona before finally returning to the EPL in the summer with Chelsea.
Ahead of the match, the Blues manager Graham Potter, speaking to the media insisted Aubameyang is up for the game against Mikel Arteta’s side.
Potter, however, acknowledged that it will take more than just the striker to beat Arsenal, considering the North London club’s current form.
“It’s a London derby, two good teams,” Potter said.
“Arsenal are doing really well and the history makes it an interesting one for Auba. But the past is the past as we’re concerned.”
He added: “I don’t think we should make it about him. He is an important part of the team for us but it takes everybody, not just one person. I understand the interest around him because it’s Arsenal.
“I think he’s looking forward to the game, excited for it. He’s been pretty normal I say, quite a quiet guy.”
