It is no longer news that a number of Chelsea key players have been linked with moves away from the club this summer, however, their manager, Mauricio Pochettino is said to be preventing midfielder, Conor Gallagher from leaving the club.

This comes amid interest for Gallagher from Premier League clubs, according to Evening Standard.

The English midfielder has been linked with moves to the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, who want to sign him this summer but Pochettino is not ready to let him leave.

So far this summer transfer window, the Blues have made some massive transfers that saw the likes of Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Edouard Mendy all leave for different clubs in the Premier League and around the world.

With the transfer window still on, more players are expected to leave Stamford Bridge and among those who could still be sold by the club includes Gallagher but Pochettino does not want such.

Gallagher made 45 appearances for the Blues last season, scoring three goals and making one assist.

He could be a key player in Pochettino’s squad if he ends up staying at Stamford Bridge.
