Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, issued a warning to winger Noni Madueke after he was spotted partying while being unavailable for selection due to injury.

Madueke moved to Stamford Bridge from PSV Eindhoven in the January transfer window and has made only three appearances under Pochettino.

His only start came in a Carabao Cup second-round encounter against AFC Wimbledon earlier this month.

Madueke is currently on the sideline as he is recovering from a muscle injury since picking up a knock on England Under-21 international duty.

He, however, sparked reactions when he was filmed partying at a nightclub in London a few days ago.

In a statement ahead of Chelsea match vs Fulham on Monday night, Pochettino said Madueke needs to avoid partying.

He said:

“In my opinion, he is working hard to try and recover. He came back from the national break 10 days ago.

“Now he is well. He is trying to be on the same level as the team.

“This video, we were talking about, is something you need to avoid. All of the players need to know that when you are a Chelsea player, you need to avoid these things.

“It was not a big issue, but we need to avoid these types of situations. He is recovering from the national team and we will see if he is fit.”
