Pochettino gives update on Chalobah

Chelsea were in an action over the weekend when they played against Fulham in Washington, D.C. during their preseason tour in the US.

Chelsea defeated Fulham in a 2-0 scoreline, however, it came with an injury for the Blues defender Trevor Chalobah, who played for just 15 minutes before his helped out of the pitch.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino in a post-match statement gave an update about Chalobah’s situation.

Pochettino in his statement stressed he is hoping the injury wouldn’t be beyond what they except.

‘I hope it’s not a big issue, but now, we need to assess,’ he said post-match.

‘It doesn’t mean it is big. It was a precaution but we need to assess him the next few days. We don’t believe it is big but hope also.’

Meanwhile, defender Thiago Silva and Christian Nkunku found the back of the nets for the Blues against Fulham, who would now focus on their next game against German side Borussia Dortmund.
