Pochettino breaks silence after Chelsea’s exit
Former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has finally broken his silence after his exit from the club as he revealed he will return to Stamford Bridge in the near future.
The former Tottenham boss who led Chelsea back into European competition during his first season, despite a difficult start, however, parted ways with the Blues by mutual consent in May.
While Chelsea have since announced a new manager in Enzo Maresca, Pochettino’s exit caught many by surprise, especially given his close relationship with the squad and a commendable sixth-place finish with only three losses in 2024.
Despite his sack, Pochettino in a recent statement via his Instagram page expressed his gratitude and fondness for the Blues.
Pochettino in his heartfelt message applauded Chelsea management and the players.
He also expressed excitement over the chance to return to Stamford Bridge so soon with SoccerAid this weekend as he hopes that he would get to see some of his former colleagues there too.
The Argentine also wished the Blues a great summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s newly appointed manager Maresca is expected to take over from at the dugout at Stamford Bridge from July 1.
He arrived at Chelsea from newly promoted side Leicester City.
