Pep Guardiola debunks claims that he’s set to leave Manchester City in 2023
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has reacted to claims that he will quit the England club in 2023 when his current contract expires.
Pep Guardiola has built a formidable team in Manchester and the Spaniard has begin another quest to win silverware this season.
However, reports surfaced this week that Spanish tactician appeared at a business conference via Zoom, that he has already determined his departure will definitely come at the end of his current contract in under two years.
Guardiola was asked to confirm this story during his press conference ahead of the match against Arsenal and he cleared the air.
Speaking on the issue, Guardiola stated that he’s not thinking to leave after two years.
Guardiola insisted that he can leave maybe in two months when the results are not good or the organisation is tired of me or he cannot handle better the players.
The former Barcelona manager noted that he can also leave in three months, like he can leave in five years.
Guardiola added that what he said in his Zoom connection with the people with Brazil is after his period with Manchester City he will take a break, that is for sure.
The break can be in one month, in two years, in three years, in four years, in five years.
Pep Guardiola arrived at Manchester City in 2016 and has turned the team into a serial winner with the Champions League their next target.
