Palmer nominated for Premier League goal of the month

Chelsea star and England international Cole Palmer has made the nomination list for April’s Player of the Month award.

Palmer’s nomination comes after he scored 7 goals in the Blues last four matches amid the Blues’ poor form.

Recall that the English player maintained his impressive form last month and and earn himself a spot on the Premier League Golden Boot list with two ruthless goalscoring performances at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer’s first goal against Manchester United where he struck a hat-trick – including two goals in front of the Matthew Harding Stand, to help win a dramatic 4-3 victory.

After his stunning form against the Red Devils, Palmer created an assist during the Blues away game against Sheffield United before Everton visited west London.

He has scored back-to-back hat-tricks at the Bridge inside 30 minutes.

His fourth goal came from m the penalty spot after the break as he emerged as the only the fourth Chelsea player after Gianluca Vialli, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Frank Lampard to score on four occasions in a Premier League fixture for the Blues.

Aside from Palmer, others who made the list include Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, Arsenal forward Kai Havertz, Manchester United’s midfielder Bruno Fernandes, Crystal Palace star Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Man City defender Josko Gvardiol.
