Oblak hands transfer boost to Chelsea and Man Utd
Atletico Madrid top-rated goalkeeper, Jan Oblak has handed a transfer boost to Chelsea, Man Utd and others who are in the race to sign him in the summer transfer window.
The goalkeeper who is Atletico Madrid has refused to rule out a future move away from the Spanish club but he stressed that he is happy at the club.
So far, Oblak has spent seven years at Madrid as he joined them in 2014 from Benfica. He won his first La Liga title with the club during the 2020-21 season
Speaking to Marca, Oblak said: “I can’t see the future, neither myself nor the club nor anyone can. It will depend on a lot of factors, such as if the club needs to sell any players or not.
“I have nothing to say about my future, I have been at Atleti seven years and I have two years left on my contract.
“I have played more than 300 games here and, while I enjoy having won La Liga Santander, I’m not thinking about anything else. I’m here, I’m happy. We’ll see what the future brings.”
Oblak kept 18 clean sheets in 38 matches and conceded just 25 goals in the last campaign in the La Liga.
