With a few days left to the end of the January transfer window, many football clubs are already finalising their transfer deals to focus on football proper.

However, in the case of Tottenham Hotspurs under coach Jose Mourinho, it seems they are done in their race for Real Madrid centre-back, Eder Militao.

This comes as report revealed that Mourinho does not see Militao as the solution to his squad defence problem.

According to Duncan Castles in one of his podcasts, he revealed that Militao is up for transfer at Real Madrid as the Spanish side would like to offload a player on high salary who has barely been used this season and the Los Blancos have valued the player at €50million.

While Tottenham have been linked with moves for Militao, Duncan revealed Mourinho doesn’t feel that Militao fits the profile of a player that Tottenham need.

This means the Tottenham boss does not see him as the player who would come in and improve the defence and take the team onto a different level.

Militao has limited playing chances at Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane preferring to start Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane ahead of him.

With the look of things he would remain at Real Madrid till the end of the season.
