Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca in a recent statement spoke about what the Blues can achieve in the Premier League in a few years time.

Maresca boldly claimed that his team can go on to “dominate English football” in the next five to 10 years.

There is no doubt that the Blues have improved tremendously this season following Maresca’s arrival as their new manager as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea who ended last campaign outside the top four are now in third position, level on 25 points with Arsenal, who are the second spot.

Maresca, in a pre-match statement ahead of Wednesday’s match against Southampton, said their age profile means they will only keep improving.

“In the next five, 10 years, because of the age, Chelsea can be one of the sides that dominate English football,” Marseca said.

The manager also opined that the Blues are in the right direction and in terms of personal target, he is aware the public may find it hard to believe.

Maresca also added that he is focused on their game against Southampton and not focused on the end of the season.

The Blues will hope to win another three points against Southampton later today.
