Maresca shouldn’t start this player Vs Leicester City – Jason Cundy

Club football will return this weekend after the international break and Chelsea will be in action when they play against Leicester City.

Ahead fo the match former Chelsea star, Jason Cundy has sent a message to manager Enzo Maresca against starting Enzo Fernandez in his starting XI to play Leicester City on Saturday.

Cundy also prefers Maresca start midfield duo of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo against the Foxes.

The former Chelsea player, however, disclosed that he would not be surprised if the Argentina star was selected ahead of one of Lavia and Caicedo.

Speaking via talkSPORT, Cundy said if he were Chelsea manager he wouldn’t start Fernandez against Leicester City.

“I would stick to Lavia and Caicedo. But it won’t surprise me if he starts,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are seated at the third spot on the league table this season and are looking like a title contender.

The Blues have improved tremendously under Maresca, who arrived as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, in the last few months.

Chelsea will hope to maintain their impressive form this weekend by ensuring they win three points against Leicester City to retain their spot in the top three.
