Manchester United are purportedly declining to give up on signing Erling Braut Haaland and are set to battle to sign the Borussia Dortmund striker this summer.

The Norway international has scored 33 times in 31 appearances for Borussia Dortmund during the 2020-21 season, while he has gotten 49 goals in 49 outings for the club altogether since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg.

Various clubs, including Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid, are supposed to be enthused about signing the 20-year-old in the forthcoming transfer market.

Erling Haaland is accepted to support a move to Real Madrid, but as per The Express, Manchester United are not set to surrender any expectation of bringing the young prolific goal scorer to Old Trafford.

The report asserts that the 20-year-old is the team’s ‘priority target’ in the final third of the field, while their advantage ‘stays solid’ in spite of ongoing ideas that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were down the pecking order for the forward.

A release clause in Erling Haaland’s Borussia Dortmund contract won’t be active until the following summer, however the German outfit could be constrained into a deal this year if they can’t get a spot in the 2021-22 Champions League.
