Manchester United reportedly contact Chelsea target’s agent

Manchester United are not leaving any stone unturned when it comes to keeping their team in shape as they’ve been reported to have contacted the agent of Bayern Munich defender, David Alaba.

Alaba’s contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire this summer and his situation at the Bundesliga champion have been monitored by top teams in Europe.

Premier League side Chelsea and Manchester City have been rumoured to be eyeing the experienced defender with his ability to play as a midfielder seen as an added advantage.

Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also gave teams some glimpse of hope as he confirmed that the defender will be leaving next summer when his contract expires and United have decided to move fast ahead of the top teams.

According to Spanish publication AS, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have a strong interest and are said to have contacted Pini Zahavi, the player’s agent.

RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano has been United top target for the past few weeks but the club’s price tag have become an headache for the Old Trafford team who are hoping Alaba will make the switch to England.

David Alaba has won all the trophies up for grab at Bayern Munich and will be eager to start a new adventure in the English Premier League.
