Manchester City star laments over lack of playing time under Guardiola last season
Manchester City forward, Raheem Sterling has revealed that he was not happy with his lack of playing time at the club last season.
Pep Guardiola’s team continue their dominance in the Premier League by winning the title, the Carabao cup and reaching the Champions League final.
However, Sterling played littleH part in their success with the England international forced to watch majority of the match from the bench including crunch Champions League quarter-final and semi-final ties.
Sterling is now back on the pitch for England at the Euro 2020, and he has revealed how it feels sitting on the bench.
Speaking with the press ahead of England’s last group game against the Czech Republic, Sterling stated that it is just happiness, just being happy, enjoying his football. That is what he’s currently doing with the national team.
According to the former Liverpool forward, if a player is not playing, he’s not happy, and that’s him; that’s been his attitude since he was a kid; if he’s playing football, he’s pleased. If he’s not, then he is not pleased
Sterling has scored England’s only goal at the ongoing competition and will be eager to put in a strong performance in their next match.
