Manchester United have sent a warning to their star forward and Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the pre-season tour.

It is no longer news that Ronaldo wants to leave Old Trafford, having made headlines over the weekend, when he informed the club about his desire to leave this summer.

The Portugal international made a surprise return to Man Utd last summer and scored 24 goals in all competitions, finishing as their top scorer.

There are now reports he has asked to leave United this summer, with his desire to play Champions League football a key factor behind his request.

But the Red Devils are determined to keep him at the club since their new manager Erik ten Hag needs him in his squad.

Ronaldo is expected to report to Man United’s training base on Monday to begin his pre-season schedule.

The Red Devils are expecting him to show up for their pre-season tour of Asia and Australia, with the squad due to begin their travels on Friday.
