Man Utd players reportedly expecting Teg Hag’s sack
A report via the Daily Mail claims several players within Manchester United’s squad expect the club’s hierarchy to sack Erik ten Hag before the start of next season.
This is coming after the Red Devils’ derby defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
The game was their 11th loss in the Premier League this season, leaving them sixth and 11 points behind Aston Villa in fourth.
During the game against City, Man United had just three shots to their rivals’ 27, which left some fans angry, although it is believed that Ten Hag still has the overall support of the dressing room. Nevertheless, a summer change could be on the way.
The Mail adds: “There is discontent among some players over the intensity of the training sessions and a hard-line approach from the manager and his No. 2 Mitchell van der Gaag.
“Some players were unhappy that they were not given an extra day off after the Luton game despite United having no midweek fixture.
“There is a belief that Ten Hag needs to freshen up the sessions and go easier on the players to keep them fit for the rest of the campaign.”
