Popular transfer expert Romano Fabrizio has revealed that there are doubts about the future of Marc Cucurella at Chelsea.

Cucurella who joined Chelsea from Brighton as the first player to be signed under Todd Boehly has struggled to impress at Stamford Bridge.

As of now, Chelsea are at the 11th spot on the league table and will not be playing European football next season.

Ahead of the summer window, the Blues appear to be planning to let some of their underperforming players leave and one of them is Cucurella.

Writing in his CaughtOffside column, Romano claimed that Cucurella’s future at Chelsea will be assessed at the end of the season, amid links of a transfer to La Liga.

He wrote: “Marc Cucurella – The Chelsea left-back has been linked with a return to La Liga. My understanding is that he is one of the situations to be assessed at the end of the season. Cucurella, Chalobah and more…these players are waiting to see what Chelsea decide to do in terms of project, tactical plans for next season, the manager situation.”
