Man Utd makes contact with 24 year old midfielder

Manchester United could be making some transactions in the coming summer transfer window as a latest reports claimed the Red Devils have contacted Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria to discuss a possible move to Old Trafford in 2022.

Zakaria, 24-year-old, remains a key player for his German club during the 2021-22 season as he scored twice and contributed one assist in 10 appearances in all competitions.

The midfielder will see his current contract with the German club expire next June, though, and it appears likely that the Switzerland international will be seeking pastures new at the end of his contract.

According to Blick, the EPL side ave contacted the midfielder to reveal their plan to sign him to Old Trafford.

The reports claim that the Red Devils are ready to hand him a €12m (£10m) signing-on bonus next year.

They will, however, face stiff competitions from the likes of Juventus, Manchester City and Arsenal, who also have eyes on Zakaria.

Since joining the German club from Young Boys in 2017, Zakaria has scored 11 times and created eight assists in 138 appearances.

Man Utd will.have to sell off some of their midfielders to be able to add the Swiss midfielder to their squad.
