Manchester United’s incoming goalkeeper and Cameroon star Andre Onana has endorsed the club’s interest in 20-year-old Atalanta attacker Rasmus Hojlund.

Onana is close to sealing a transfer to Old Trafford as the reports revealed he would undergo his medical on Wednesday after the Red Devils reached an agreement to pay £43.9 million to Inter Milan for Onana’s signature.

The Cameroon goalie will become Man United’s second signing of the summer after they recently signed Mason Mount from Chelsea for £55 million.

Owing to their inability to sign Harry Kane, who they consider expensive, Man United have identified Hojlund as their first choice target as they plan to bolster their attack.

To seal the deal for Hojlund, Man Utd will have to sell some of their players to raise funds.

The Red Devils’ interest in Hojlund has got Onana’s approval, following the latter’s recent social media activity.

The now-former Ajax goalkeeper ‘liked’ a post on Instagram that claimed Man United will submit a bid for Hojlund after agreeing personal terms with the player
