Indications are pointing to the fact that an unexpected swap deal could happen at Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

The reports revealed that the Red Devils could reach a swap deal agreement with Italian side, Juventus that could see Cristiano Ronaldo make a return to Old Trafford while Paul Pogba moves back to Turin

It is no longer news that Ronaldo continues to be linked with moves away from Juventus following their poor performance in the Champions League where they were dumped out of the tournament by Porto FC, they also lost the top spot in the Italian Seria A to Inter Milan.

Moreover, Juventus are under a new manager, Massimiliano Allegri who is coming in as a replacement for Andrea Pirlo.

The reports from Italy have revealed that even though Ronaldo worked  with the 53-year-old during his first season in Turin, the Portugal international is not thought to be untouchable by the Juve manager.

Moreover, Allegri has disclosed his intention to reunite with Paul Pogba at Juventus, this means he would be more than happy to accept the swap deal.

If Ronaldo wants a return to Old Trafford, he would have to accept a significant hit on his £500k-a-week wages.
