Manchester City will host their rival Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League at Etihad Stadium.

The Citizens head to the match after they were held to a goalless draw against Serie A side Inter Milan during the week.

While Man City will hope to bounce back with a win this weekend, midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has singled out Arsenal’s Kai Havertz for praise ahead of their Premier League clash.

According to the former Barcelona star, Havertz is very down-to-earth, adding that he is a intelligent player.

Gundogan and Havertz are both teammates in Germany international squad.

Speaking about Havertz, Gundogan in a pre-match statement via Sky Deutschland said the former Chelsea player is a very down-to-earth and calm but also a very analytical person who is intelligent and can put certain things into perspective.

Gundogan believes these traits are what manager Mikel Arteta also appreciates about him and why he plays such a central role at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Citizens are likely to be without their talisman Kevin DeBruyne when they play Arsenal.

On the other hand, the Gunners will be without their captain Martin Odegaard who is on the sidelines due to ankle injury he sustained during international duties for Norway.
