The latest reports have claimed that Man City have joined Chelsea in the race for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde.

It is no longer news that Chelsea have been linked with Kounde since last year but were unable to complete the deal as Sevilla were demanding £75m as release clause.

While Chelsea are reportedly planning to attempt to make a move for him again in the coming summer window, a report according to El Nacional claimed that there is also serious interest from Manchester City.

The report claimed that the EPL leaders are prepared to sell one of Nathan Ake or John Stones in order to complete a move for the Sevilla defender ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Kounde, 23, remains a key player for Sevilla this season, and he has already made 24 appearances in all competitions, with one goal and one assist to his name.

Aside from Man City and Chelsea, another big EPL club reported to have shown an interest in the centre-back is Man Utd.

The Frenchman has two-and-a-half years left to his contract with Sevilla.
