Arsenal new signee Noni Madueke has been exempted from the club pre-season tour squad.

Recall that the North London club unveiled Madueke as their newest signed on Friday after they sealed a contract for him from rival club, Chelsea.

As Arsenal prepare for preseason, their manager, Mikel Arteta, has stopped Madueke from joining the squad for their tour of Singapore and Hong Kong.

While 23-year-old Englishman was eager to cut short his post-Club World Cup vacation to prepare for next season, Arteta advised him to rest ahead of the new season.

According to the recent report, the former Chelsea star is now expected to take a two-week holiday, during which he will have access to one of Arsenal’s strength and conditioning coaches.

Madueke, who signed a five-year contract will wear the no.20 shirt at the Emirates.

While Madueke was exempted from Arsenal squad, Arteta called up his other three signings in Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga to join the club in touring Asia.
