Arsenal to battle Chelsea in the race for RB Leipzig forward

Chelsea and Arsenal are still in the race to sign new players before the close of the summer transfer window.
Once again their interest in similar players have clashed as recent report claimed Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Xavi Simons, with the forward reported to be ready to depart RB Leipzig this summer.
Recall that the Gunners secured the signature of Noni Madueke on Friday after agreeing a deal with Chelsea worth up to £52m.
However, they are ready to spend more as manager Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on adding to a new player to his offensive ranks, with a deal for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres thought to be at an advanced stage.
Arteta wants to strengthen his attack line considering the Gunners scored 17 fewer goals than Premier League champions Liverpool last season.
Popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the North London club hold an interest in Leipzig attacker Simons.
Romano, however, added that the Red Devils could face competition from rivals Chelsea for his services.
Simons scored 10 goals and created six assists in the German Bundesliga last term for RB Leipzig.
We will have to wait to see which club will finally seal a deal for the forward.
