Liverpool set to battle Man Utd for this £40 million rated midfielder

With the summer transfer window set to commence in July, football clubs across Europe are already setting targets for the players they hope to sign.

The latest transfer report has revealed that Liverpool are set to battle it out with rivals Man Utd in the bid to sign Niguez Saul from Spanish club Atletico Madrid.

Saul who is a key player in the Atletico Madrid midfield has been a resourceful player this season.

His contract with the Spanish side runs until 2026 but the report has revealed that Atletico Madrid are ready to cash in on him and would accept a transfer of £40 million from any club that shows interest in him.

Saul had in previous transfer markets been linked to Man Utd and the report has revealed that the Red Devils have once again resurrected their interest in him and hope to make move for him this summer.

On his part, the midfielder who has been on Los Colchoneros’ books for the past 13 years is supposedly seeking a fresh challenge away from the Spanish club.

While Man United are considered favourites to sign the Spain international, the Empire of the Kop however suggests that Liverpool have also been alerted by his eagerness to leave.

The report claimed that Liverpool are keen to bolster in midfield and will gazump any bid made by fellow Premier League side Manchester United.
