Premier League outfit Liverpool have reportedly started talks with Mohammed Salah over a new deal that will see him stay at the club for a long time.

Salah has become one of Europe’s deadliest strikers after moving to the reds from Roma, and he has continued to be linked with a move away from Anfield.

Last season, Salah’s future was spotlighted with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris-Saint-Germain reportedly willing to sign him.

The clubs were then given the green light when Salah spoke about his future in May, claiming that Anfield chiefs were yet to talk to him about extending his deal, which will expire in 2023.

The reds are now prepared to negotiate a new deal with the Egyptian forward as they wish to tie him down on a long term deal.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano claims negotiations are now underway, although talks are still said to be in their infancy.

Speaking with Anfield Watch, Romano stated that contract talks between Liverpool and Salah are not at the final stages yet, but they have been talking.

Liverpool fans will be hoping the reds sort out a deal with Salah, who was instrumental when they won the Premier League and Champions League some season ago.
