Lampard reveals how hard it will be to loan out young midfielder
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has given a precise update on the future of young midfielder Billy Gilmour as he continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Billy Gilmour has struggled for game time in the Premier League this season but has become a starter in the team FA Cup matches.
His impressive display in the cup competition has seen pundits urging Frank Lampard to give him more chances to explore himself in the Premier League where the likes of Jorginho, Kovacic and N’Golo Kante are ahead of him.
Billy Gilmour put up an impressive display in Chelsea’s win over Luton Town in their 4th round match and Lampard has admitted that it would be very difficult for him to not now give him a run in the Chelsea side
Speaking after the match, Lampard stated Gilmour was outstanding as he is comfortable on the ball, the way he moves it, his discipline and his personality was great.
Lampard noted that playing like he did today, he makes it very difficult for him not to give Gilmour a run in the team.
Gilmour’s performance could still him get more playing chances henceforth.
