Jorginho could leave Arsenal in a couple of months
Former Chelsea midfielder who joined Arsenal in the January transfer window, Jorginho could leave the North London side in a couple of months.
The Italy star has been tipped to leave the club in the summer if Mikel Arteta’s side wins the Premier League title, according to popular journalist, Graeme Bailey.
Recall that the Italian midfielder left Chelsea to join the Gunners in a shocking deadline-day deal worth around £12 million.
Jorginho joined Chelsea in the summer of 2018 from Napoli and made 213 appearances for the Blues winning the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
With the look of things, Arsenal could still win the Premier League this season despite being beaten by Everton in their last outing; the Gunners have a five-point lead at the top after 20 games.
According to Bailey, the midfielder could leave Arsenal and return to Italy this summer if he wins the league title.
Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Bailey said “This could be the signing that wins them the title. I don’t think it has affected their long-term transfer ambitions.
“I’ve been told by someone and they said that they wouldn’t be surprised if Jorginho lifts the title and then still moves back to Italy in the summer.”
