How much Chelsea will need to spend to sign this Brazil star

With less than 21 days to the start of the winter transfer window slated for January, there seems to be a rumour on Chelsea making a move for a Brazil star.

This comes as the Blues are said to be in a shock move to sign €70m-rated Brazil star, Casemiro, from Real Madrid, El Nacional reports.

Chelsea are said have joined the race to add Casemiro to their squad next year.

However, the west London club will need to table a bid worth €60m to sign the midfielder, with the Los Blancos set to discuss a move if their valuation is met.

Casemiro is highly rated as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world; following his stint with the Los Blancos that has seen him play 307 games scoring 30 goals and registering 27 assists in the process.

The Los Blancos are considering the prospect of cashing in on Casemiro following poor displays in the first half of the current season.

The Spanish club are said to be eying Leicester City midfielder and Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi as a replacement for Casemiro, who has a contract at Santiago Bernabeu until June 2025.

Despite having the likes of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, as well Ruben Loftus-Cheek in their squad, Chelsea interest in Casemiro is understandable as they sell to Ros Barkley and would not sign Saul Niguez permanently.
