Former United States of America international Alexi Lalas believes Frank Lampard is wasting the talent of Christian Pulisic at Chelsea.

Pulisic arrived from Borussia Dortmund with a point to prove as he was tipped to replace Eden Hazard who left for Real Madrid.

The United States international did not disappoint the Blues fans in his first season at the club last term, scoring 11 goals in 34 appearances.

However, things have not been going too well for Pulisic this season as he has been forced to spend most of the time receiving treatment for a persistent injury.

Pulisic who returned to full fitness some weeks has been showing his class whenever he’s available and Lala’s insisted that he has shown he’s too good’ for the Blues.

Speaking with State of the Union Podcast, Lalas stated that Christian Pulisic’s talent and abilities is being wasted at Chelsea under Frank Lampard.

According to Lalas, Pulisic was the only outstanding player for Chelsea during their loss to Manchester City and the club need to add more quality to support him.

Pulisic came in for Chelsea during their GA cup win over Morcambe.

While it is obvious that Lampard will love to use Pulisic more, his injury cases however doesn’t give him that chance he needs.

Perhaps when he get used to the Premier League, the Blues may have to no longer worry about his injuries.
