Chelsea and Liverpool became one of the greatest rivals in the Premier League some season ago and players of both are always willing to end up on the winning side.

The clash between both sides enjoyed some massive games during the Rafa Benitez era at Anfield with Mascherano playing some parts in the heart of one of the great modern Reds midfield.

However, in details revealed by James Pearce for The Athletic, Mascherano learnt some derogatory John Terry song in an attempt to rile up the Blues’ skipper.

James Pearce revealed the lengths at which Mascherano looked to try and wind up John Terry during a Liverpool-Chelsea tie.

The Argentine midfielder learnt the words to a song on the Kop that was rather unkind to the Stamford Bridge skipper, to put it lightly.

Pearce stated that Javier Mascherano was no stranger to the dark arts, he learned the words to a derogatory song the Kop sang to antagonise John Terry so he could wind up the Chelsea captain when they rubbed shoulders during one game.
