Liverpool had been silent through the January transfer window, but it is now evident that they have been working underground.

This comes as the Reds have now officially confirmed the signing of Luis Diaz from Porto.

The report revealed that the deal for Diaz is worth £37.5million, with a further £12.5million in potential bonuses.

The Colombia winger is expected to remain at Anfield until summer 2027.

Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspurs, who had looked the most likely to sign Diaz.

After the Reds revealed their interest to sign Diaz,  it made it increasingly difficult for the Hotspurs to persuade him into joining them.

A new report has also revealed that a big part of him being convinced to join Jurgen Klopp’s was down to an advice from former players at Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United.

According to the Mirror, former Chelsea and Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao and ex Everton winger James Rodriguez both urged Diaz to join Liverpool ahead of Spurs.
