A report via the ESPN revealed Chelsea will allow their highly rated coach, Anthony Barry, to join German club Bayern Munich and will receive £1 million in compensation for the transfer.

According to the report, the two clubs had been in negotiations since former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was handed an appointment at the German club last month.

Recall that Barry was a part of Tuchel’s backroom staff when he took over as Chelsea’s manager in January 2021.

During their time together at Stamford Bridge, the two men won the Uefa Champions League within four months.

Tuchel was eventually sacked by Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly with Graham Potter replacing him last year.

After taking over Bayern Munich, Tuchel in a statement admitted he wants to bring Barry to the Allianz Arena.

“Arno Michels and Zsolt Low, who have been working with me for over 10 years, will be there. We’re hoping to add Anthony Barry, who is currently at Chelsea,” he said.
