Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has issued warnings to Arsenal ahead of the weekend faceoff in the Premier League.

The Citizens manager said his side would not be easy opponents for Arsenal to defeat.

Guardiola added that he never had any doubts about his players after they bounced back from back-to-back defeats to beat RB Leipzig in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash.

Recall that the EPL champions were unexpectedly knocked out of the Carabao Cup last week by Newcastle before suffering a surprising defeat to Wolves in the Premier League.

When asked about the importance of delivering a top performance ahead of facing Arsenal on Sunday at Emirates, Guardiola told TNT Sports:

“I rely on these guys unconditionally, winning or not winning, because I know the training sessions, the mentality that they have and they prove it.

“And now we are going to Arsenal to do our game. Rest and hopefully we can arrive in March, April, May being there [in the title race], close to the competitions.
