Chelsea finally had their first win under interim manager Frank Lampard after they defeated Bournemouth on Saturday in the EPL.

And Conor Gallagher in a statement has revealed a special message from Lampard to Chelsea players that led to the win.

Recall that the Blues were defeated in six consecutive games making it was six losses out of six games under Frank Lampard.

However, they were able to get a 3-1 away win at the Vitality Stadium and it did bring about a breath of fresh air for the west London giants.

Gallagher gave Chelsea the early lead before Benoit Badiashile and Joao Felix handed the Blues all three points.

Gallagher in a post-match statement revealed that Lampard charged his team to be clinical in front of goal.

“The main message from the boss was that we needed to be more clinical and more ruthless in the final third,” he told the BBC.

“So to get three goals today was great and shows that the stuff we’re been working on has worked.”
