Midfielder Conor Gallagher’s recent transfer from Chelsea to Spanish side Atletico Madrid this summer transfer window has remained a topic among football lovers.

Former Chelsea star Emmanuel Petit in reaction to the transfer hit out at the club’s owners for their ‘bad decision’ to sell Gallagher to Atletico Madrid.

According to report, Gallagher is set to become Atletico Madrid’s newest player after flying to Spain on Monday.

The England star is expected to undergo medicals and finalise his transfer to Atletico Madrid this summer.

Petit is, however, not pleased with Gallagher’s impending exit from Stamford Bridge.

Reacting to the transfer via Gambling Zone, Petit stressed that the recent happenings at Chelsea tend to make one want to pull their hair out sometimes.

According to the former footballer it doesn’t look like Chelsea’s current ownership group has learned from any of the mistakes they have made.

Petit also queried how Gallagher would be worth £30 million if PSG’s Manuel Ugarte is worth £60 or £70 million.

He added that the transfer doesn’t make sense to him and he doesn’t understand the decisions being made at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, several Chelsea fans have also reacted on social media to Gallagher’s impending transfer away from Chelsea.
