Frank Lampard delivers final verdict on West Ham ahead of crunch London derby
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has given his verdict on fellow London club West Ham United and their manager David Moyes ahead of the team meeting at Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard will be facing one of his former employers on Monday night football as they begin their hectic festive period schedule.
Coming off from two consecutive defeat, Chelsea will be facing a tough tie against the Hammers who are enjoying a stellar start to the Premier League campaign.
David Moyes team sit just one point and one place behind Lampard’s side in the standings in seventh spot heading into Monday’s game.
If Chelsea win they’ll have will a four-point cushion to their London rivals but a win for the Hammers will see them leapfrog the Blues in the table.
Speaking to the press ahead of the match, Frank Lampard heap praise on Moyes as he noted that he’s being doing a great job.
Lampard stated that West Ham have good players, and the way they are playing and the consistency to the levels they’ve got this season have been really impressive.
He noted that Moyes is an experienced and a very good manager who has got his message across to the whole team.
Speaking about West Ham playing style, Lampard added that they are playing really well, the organisation of their team, the style that they play, it’s very difficult to play against.
They have threats on the counter-attack and they are very good at set-pieces, so they are playing really well and are clearly a well-managed team.
West Ham are going well under David Moyes so far in 2020/21 having managed to avoid relegation last season after lockdown with an impressive end to the campaign.
