Chelsea’s incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed four players at the club he wants to build his team around when he takes over from interim coach Frank Lampard at the end of the season.

The report via Evening Standard revealed Pochettino has identified the likes of Reece James, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, and Levi Colwill as players to build his squad around next season.

Pochettino is expected to be unveiled as the new Chelsea manager any time from now.

His arrival at the West London club could result in a change of fortunes for some of Chelsea’s homegrown talent, including Mount, Gallagher, and Colwill.

Recall that the Blues splashed £600 million on more than 15 new signings over the last two transfer windows, which has failed to yield any positive return.

With no European football for the next season, Chelsea’s hierarchy are planning to offload some of their homegrown players to balance the books.
