Former Man Utd and now Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been making headlines after he tested positive for testosterone.

Owing to this, Pogba, who only returned to the Serie A club from Manchester United in July 2022, is now facing a possible 4-year ban.

Pogba’s return has been marred with injuries as he has struggled to impress at the club.

The latest development reported that Pogba tested positive after a league fixture against Udinese on August 20, a game in which he did not play.

The France international has now been suspended by Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal on an initial precautionary basis and has three days to request a B sample.

The maximum suspension in such cases is four years, including an initial two-year ban, which can be doubled if it is proven that the substance was taken deliberately.

Atalanta’s Jose Luis Palomino had been found in a similar shoe. He was banned and then absolved after four months when a positive test for the steroid clostebol was reversed by the B sample.
