Former Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf has joined many football lovers and pundits to react to the way Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford during their friendly game against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

Leboeuf in his statement said Ronaldo’s action was not only wrong but disrespectful.

The Portugal star left Old Trafford as he left his teammates on the pitch at half-time of Manchester United’s 1-1 draw in a preseason game on Sunday,

Leboeuf said the Portuguese was wrong to demand a move away from Old Trafford.

The Blues legend said, “It is [wrong] for me. It’s not professional with all due respect and the fact I appreciate the player and what he achieved in his career but it’s not professional and disrespectful towards the club.”

He stressed that Ronaldo should have stayed until the match was over, as he called on him to stop disrespecting the club, his fellow players and fans.

“You have to stay, you have to show respect to the other players,” and the fans you still belong to the club, you signed for it, you have to play for them, didn’t make any mistakes, they want to keep you so the only thing you have to say is at least sit on the bench and wait until the end of the game.”
