As the summer transfer window draws nearer, former Chelsea star Daniel Sturridge has predicted to melt Lukaku’s future at the club.

According to the former England international, Lukaku could get another chance to revive his career under their new manager.

Following Graham Potter’s sack at the club over the weekend, Chelsea are expected to unveil Frank Lampard as their permanent manager soon.

Recall that Lukaku left Chelsea on loan to Italian side Inter Milan last summer just a year after signing £97million deal with the Blues.

The Belgian striker during his return to the EPL struggled to impress.

At the moment, Chelsea are struggling in front of goal with Kai Havertz their main striker, scoring only nine this season.

“It depends on the manager,” Sturridge told Sky Sports.

“The new manager could come in and build a team around him and I think that is probably what Lukaku needs.

“So if he does come back and has a very good preseason, I am sure the manager will know this guy is a goal scorer. That is what he is known for.”
