Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has criticised his former team-mate Eden Hazard over his move to the Spanish club where he killed his career.

Kroos claimed that Hazard who earned £400,000-per-week at Real Madrid“let his career die” at the Bernabeu.

Recall that the Spanish giants signed Hazard for £88 million from Chelsea in 2019.

However, the Belgian star’s four-year spell with the Los Blancos ended last week, after Madrid ended his contract.

There are speculations that Hazard is now considering retirement at 32, having already called time on his international career after Belgium’s 2022 World Cup campaign.

Kroos, who has won three LaLiga titles and four Champions League trophies during his nine-year spell at Real Madrid, made a remark about the Belgian flop as he sent a warning to Jude Bellingham after his stunning six-year move to the Bernabeu was confirmed on Wednesday.

“We had another player who came for a lot of money and basically let his career die,” Kroos said on his podcast Einfach mal Luppen.

“It was a lot of money, I think everyone would say that wasn’t a good transfer. But let’s be positive.”

Hazard during his time at Madrid scored only seven goals in 76 appearances.
